I build and maintain large-scale backend systems — the kind that handle hundreds of millions of requests a day and need to keep running while you're changing the engine mid-flight. Most of my career has been at Intuit, working on the infrastructure behind QuickBooks Online.
Right now I'm a Staff Engineer there, leading API modernization work that moves traffic off a monolith without anybody noticing. Before that: distributed caching, database migrations, CI/CD pipelines, performance work, and a lot of on-call shifts.
Over 15 years I've worked across the US (Silicon Valley), Canada (Vancouver), and India — which has given me a decent appreciation for time zones, varied engineering cultures, and the universality of production incidents at 2 AM. I did my Master's in Computer Science at San Jose State University before joining Intuit full-time.
On the side I build small tools — the kind with one job and no sign-up required.
Since moving back to India, I've been living in Pune with my wife, Nivedita, and our son Aadit. Outside of work I enjoy flying drones, cinematography, painting, watching documentaries, and tinkering on side projects.
